Chemical peels use a customized blend of acids to exfoliate the skin, encouraging cellular turnover and revealing a smoother, brighter complexion underneath. They help remove dead skin cells, unclog pores, fade discoloration, and stimulate collagen production.

Not always. Peeling varies depending on the type of peel used and your skin’s response. Some clients experience visible shedding, while others see more subtle flaking or no peeling at all either way, the treatment is still working at a deeper level.

Yes, when performed by a trained professional using the right formulations, chemical peels can be safe and highly effective for deeper skin tones. At Leyla Sufi Skin, we take a cautious, tailored approach to prevent post-inflammatory pigmentation and support barrier health.

Results build over time. While some improvement can be seen after one session, a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart is typically recommended for long-term changes in texture, tone, acne, or pigmentation.

There can be light flaking or peeling for a few days depending on the depth of the peel. Skin may feel tight or sensitive. You’ll be given detailed aftercare instructions to support healing and maximize your results pre and post treatment.

Avoid retinols, exfoliants, acids, waxing, or intense sun exposure for 5–7 days before your treatment. Come with clean skin, and be sure to share your full skincare routine so we can select the safest and most effective peel for you.

What’s the difference between light, medium, and deep peels?
Light peels: Exfoliate the outermost layer of skin for a gentle refresh.
Medium peels: Reach deeper layers to target pigmentation, acne scars, and fine lines.
Deep peels: Go further into the dermis and require more downtime they are for more severe cases.
At Leyla Sufi Skin, we focus on light to medium-depth peels that deliver results without compromising your skin barrier. Deep peels are used if necessary. -
Yes, chemical peels are effective for reducing active breakouts, smoothing texture, fading post-acne marks, and evening out hyperpigmentation. Your treatment plan will be tailored based on your skin history and goals.
-
You may feel a mild tingling or warming sensation during the peel, but it shouldn’t be painful. Any discomfort is brief and manageable, and we always monitor your skin’s response closely. Leyla also provides fans and cyro globes to help soothe your skin.

It’s best to avoid makeup completely for at least 24–72 hours after your peel to allow the skin to breathe and recover. Once peeling has subsided, mineral or spf makeup is the safest option if needed. If you're abel avoid makeup for a week post treatment.
